Artist's Notes: Commonly called the “Colosseum” because of a 100-ft statue of the Sun god moved next to it in early A.D., this barely standing structure is still the most iconic symbol of Imperial Rome. While honoring its original name, I sought to capture an angle that reminded me of older drawings of the amphitheater.
limited Edition: only 100 of these selected images will ever be produced
Artist's Notes: Over the years, I have had great opportunities to photograph many cultures throughout the world, many of which were featured in my book “Tribes.” In compiling images for this mosaic print, I’ve brought together my favorite tribal images, including peoples of the Amazonian jungles, the South American Andes and the deserts of Africa. In all cases, I’ve chosen photos with people fully engaged, looking directly at the camera lens. The variety of adornment is very stunning and by arranging them in this manner, I believe I’ve created a very compelling and abstract image.
Limited: Only 100 of these selected images will ever be produced
Artist's Notes: The waters of the Ganges have long been regarded as purifying and sacred among the Hindu region, due largely to the fact that the river originates high in the nearby Himalayas. In this photograph, a Hindu pilgrim sets out upon the Ganges as the sun rises above the distant shore.
